Gail Schreiner and Rosalie Smith recently attended the Heartbeat International
Conference, in Dallas, Texas, USA, Rosalie’s comments:
PERSONAL BENEFIT: I found that the networking was very inspirational -
connecting with hearts, visions & dreams, which makes your ‘problems’ seem
less daunting and sure stirs up one’s faith! What also inspired me were the reallife
stories & victories shared from podium to platform: from those of the
keynote speakers to those brave enough to share their testimonies at the Hope
for Life March Press- Conference. These not only knocked down any un-opened
doors in my heart toward this life-giving ministry but also motivated me
spiritually.
INTELLECTUAL INCOME: There was also much of significant value to the
ministry as a whole that I could take home with me: the ‘cross-pollination’ of
ideas, concepts and insights during workshops were tremendous! Also, with
specific reference to pregnancy centres was the amount of ‘client focused’
resources available (we could take some examples with us); the impact of
having an ultrasound on site (we now stand in faith for this for our clients!)
Also, ideas for webpage- and internal system-design were of tremendous value.
